Minister for Treaty, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships, Communities and the Arts Leeanne Enoch MP, recently enjoyed a day in Gladstone, visiting Gladstone Region engaging in action Together (GRT) at the CQUniversity Gladstone Marina campus to discuss the progress of the Stronger Places, Stronger People investment in the region.

A key topic of discussion was the importance of data in understanding the unique needs of the community, to evidence and inform decision-making and measure progress. The Minister was encouraged by the progress and investment of the Gladstone Region community in growing data capacity and collaborations.
Minister Enoch was provided with an update on the Gladstone Region Wellbeing Data Hub and the community-designed Gladstone Region Wellbeing Measurement Framework which has been developed over two years through community workshops and engagement sessions, identifying key indicators to measure wellbeing in the Gladstone Region.
The Minister was interested and pleased to hear about the community engagement program which enables community involvement in the planning and implementation of projects, ensuring that the needs and aspirations of the community are reflected in improvement activities.
Minister Enoch was excited by the level of community leadership and local collaboration guiding the local work and the progress made in establishing collective community action that will support outcomes for families and children.
